Well it sure has been a hot minute since I had a "What's Sara Reading?" post so I figured it was time to talk about books. It's not that I haven't been reading a ton (I always have a book at hand - well, on my Kindle anyway!), I just haven't connected with much lately enough to want to write about it.

I have also been a little distracted/busy/focused elsewhere. The blog has definitely taken the back burner a bit since this summer. A lot shifted in my life after my car accident in June and I think it's slowly showing me how it has been affecting parts of my life.

Miss Semi Sweet's Goblin Cookies - Veganised!

I've been watching Miss Semi Sweet's YouTube channel for years now, loving how much she loves to explore retro recipes and dares to try even the worst ones for our entertainment. We share a love for the kitchen (as well as retro style!) and love her quirky and silly personality in each video she shares.

As I was putting together my Halloween posts for this week, I watched one of her videos with these cookies as the star and originally just wanted to try them for myself. Then I noticed they would be fairly easy to make vegan and then I thought, why not adapt the recipe and share my version here on homage to Miss Semi Sweet herself!

I never ever thought in a million years that I'd love a wiggle style dress as much as I love this Elsie dress by Lady V London. I bought it in August in preparation for my big trip to Europe to add to my booth uniform wardrobe.

The green and blue hues in the dress match our corporate colors and the more corporate style of the dress fit the business casual attire we decided on for staff in the booth. All the while being a super pretty dress? Winner winner!

It's not setting any alarms, staying in bed all cozy-like while looking at wedding stuff until noon, dragging ourselves out of bed just to go get lunch somewhere not so healthy for us, running a few errands (and getting started on Christmas shopping!), coming home and blogging while Cody plays whatever video game he's currently into, and only getting up from the couch to eventually make dinner and continue binge-watching a Netflix show (currently it's the hilariously inappropriate Big Mouth).

Little American Girl in Paris: We're Engaged!

Well, my peanuts, I am back from my epic European journey. My show in Amsterdam was a huge success and I couldn't be prouder of the work I accomplished there. But I don't want to talk about work! I want to gush about my time in Paris with Cody, Anna, and Florian!

The 4 of us packed as much as we could into our 2 days in Paris together - all the while the 3 of them keeping a fairly large secret from me the entire time! But more on that later...
