Tickets, Please! (Bernie Dexter)

Say, is that me wearing a cardigan in 85 degree weather? YEP!

"Good God, Why?" you're probably asking. Well, it's simple really.

Lemon Meringue Pie (Hearts & Found)

A couple months ago, I was lucky enough to win a $100 Etsy gift card from my fellow blogger, Kara from the Dressed Aesthetic, in honor of her 3 year blog-a-versary and, at first, I was sure it'd all go toward wedding related things like bouquets or a birdcage veil.

But then I was browsing Hearts and Found (as one does when bored and wanting to stare at pretty things to pass the time) and I started to feel as though my shiny new gift card would be better spent on a shiny new dress!

What's New, Emma Lou? (Lindy Bop)

Everyone who knows me knows my love for a good full circle skirt/dress with a fluffy petticoat beneath it. In fact, I've worn petticoats for nearly everyday for as long as I can remember since I began wearing them about 3 years ago or so.

So when I shop online, I tend to scroll past dresses or skirts that aren't full enough to accommodate a petticoat. However, when I saw this Emma Lou dress on the Lindy Bop website when I was springing for the duckling skirt a few weeks back, I sort of broke all my rules.

Make Way For Ducklings & Change (Lindy Bop)

It's been a BUSY couple of months behind the scenes here at In a Nutshell. I've been keeping a once a week posting cadence here just to help me juggle it all. Between our annual busy season (in the trade show world, March-May typically are extremely busy!), some looming division reorganizations taking place smack dab in the middle, and our ongoing wedding plans, I just knew my bandwidth would be pretty stretched thin.

As if that wasn't enough -  I have BIG news to share today along with this ADORABLE new skirt from Lindy Bop. LB recently released a bird collection and I immediately fell for their Francine dress and Adalane skirt featuring the cutest family of ducks parading around the hem.

What's Sara Reading? What to Say Next by Julie Buxbaum

Well, since I've been doing what I do best and traveling every couple of weeks, you must have expected a "What's Sara Reading?" post at some point, right? Because, as usual, I beefed up my Kindle for the flights and devoured some really good books as I made my way to and from Vegas recently.

My favorite? What to Say Next by Julie Buxbaum. I tend to buy 2 books before a trip - 1 intriguing general fiction book that I've had on my reading list and 1 YA book. I still find YA more creative, enjoyable, heart-wrenching, and all around the style of writing that can suck me in so when I am traveling, I usually snuggle right on into a good YA book.
