Golden Oreo Stuffed Lemon Iced Cookies

Sometimes, as a part-time food blogger, you buy stuff with the intent to use them in a new treat but then either never make said treat or you change your mind about said treat and do something else.

This, ladies and gents, was one of those times. I opened the cabinet a couple weeks ago and saw a package of Golden Oreos and thought "huh, I never used those. What was I going to use them for again?"

Donut You Want to Go For a Swim?

As you may recall from my recent Emily and Fin post aboard a train, Cody and I had a weekend getaway in Cape Cod in honor of my recent birthday. While there, I knew one thing had to happen - I had to take blog photos in my new donut bathing suit from ModCloth.

I had been eyeing this bathing suit for the past two months. I already have plenty of bathing suits in preparation for our vacation to Aruba in November but I felt like - as the donut lover I am - I had to have this one.

The BBRBF Book Club: What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty

Welcome to July's edition of The BBRBF Book Club! This month we read "What Alice Forgot" by Liane Moriarty and also welcomed Lyndsey from Dressed in Mascara to our quaint club of readers. As always, don't forget to keep an eye out on Kristina's and Noelle's blogs for their reviews. This book has so many covers out there, I'm curious to see how many we get to style this month!

For me, I paired my pink lemonade Julie Mollo retroversible skirt (it's yellow on one side and pink on the other!) with my brand new blue Harley top from Pinup Girl Clothing (speaking of, why has no one told me how AMAZING these tops are? They're a flattering fit and they zip DOWN! Whaaaaat? I already ordered another in red!)

All Aboard! Dinner & a Train Ride in Emily & Fin

I spent way more time than the average person does deciding what to wear for my birthday dinner aboard a train in the ever famous summer destination of Cape Cod, MA this past weekend. Luckily, once again, the Modcloth BST group on Facebook came to my rescue and I scored this precious Emily & Fin dress just a few days before our weekend away.

With it's light, flowy, breezy, 40s feel, it is the perfect outfit to wear for the tour of the shore!

Orange You Glad I Didn't Say Banana?

This dress is bananas, b-a-n-a-n-a-s!

Needless to say, when I saw this dress on ModCloth a couple weeks ago, I went bananas. It was just so aPEELing with its bold print and adjustable straps.

Style Through the Ages: Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my Birthday! Happy 28th Birthday to my little ol' self!

While I typically don't make a big deal about my own birthday (I have WAY more fun celebrating other people's), when I saw my birthday fell on a blogging day this year, I decided to put together a post that shows how my style has evolved throughout the years - because, guys, it's interesting.

After I hinted at my old style in a recent post that threw me back to the 80s, a few people challenged me to share some throwback photos (maybe as proof?) of my evolving style.

FINE!

IF YOU'RE GONNA MAKE ME...

Homemade Choco Tacos (Guest Post)

Guess who's back, back again? JENNA!

The gal that brought you the Better Than Dating Chocolate Cake is back for July with another treat - this time it's quite fun, messy, and refreshing. Guys, she made you CHOCO TACOS! Whaa-aaatttt?

I don't need to say anything more. I'll let Jenna take it away...

What's Sara Reading? Sweetbitter by Stephanie Danler

Considering the cover of this book is solely a shot of a wine glass (albeit broken, but still), could I have chosen a better outfit to match this review? I think not! The best part? It was totally unplanned!

I had a successful swap a month or so ago where I sent a lovely gal a playsuit from Collectif that just didn't sit on me right (me and my short torso!) and she sent me this LindyBop wiggle dress that I have always liked but always hesitated to buy.
