Jenny from the Block (Emily and Fin)

One of my favorite brands to watch every season is Emily and Fin. I just love when their lookbook comes out every season. They always have the cutest prints and I love how they release a variety of styles in each so that you can choose the style that suits you most when shopping a new collection.

When Emily and Fin reached out to collaborate for the launch of their spring collection, I nearly fainted. I was so excited! Then I immediately panicked - how would I EVER choose from all the lovely new items hitting their site? It was so hard to choose! Emily and Fin kindly sent me two dresses to review, which I will share today and next week in a fun Emily and Fin two-part series!

When I saw this summer fruits fabric in their lookbook, I was immediately drawn to it. How could I not be with all its color and shapes? It practically screamed my name from the page. I had yet to add a Jenny dress to my E&F collection so I went for it and am really glad I did. It is one of those easy-to-throw-on-and-go dresses and will be PERFECT for summer.

I already wore it last week on what was a gorgeous Friday evening in the city. It was 70 degrees and the warm air felt amazing on my shoulders. It also seems like a versatile dress that can adorable with sneakers and a denim jacket but also dressed up with the right accessories, sort of how I have it styled here with my sparkly BAIT heels and red hair flowers.

I am stuck in-between L and XL in Emily and Fin these days (what else is new?) and even though the XL was big on me, I was so nervous going for the L would be too snug of a fit. Luckily, I was able to shrink this dress in the dryer just enough and it fits pretty well now! The straps have a bit of space but that is pretty typical in ANY dress I order. I really must have short shoulders...

Life is sure interesting these days. Someone recently made the observation that weekends are starting to feel like lunch breaks and I am DEFINITELY feeling that sentiment these days. How are my weekends getting so gosh darn busy? I don't intend for it to happen and yet, I always feel like a bee buzzing to and fro and they fly by in a blink of an eye.

I suppose being BUSY is a good thing for me right now - nothing is worse than feeling stagnant when adjusting to HUGE change - but WOW is time moving at warp speed! How is it mid-April already??

Are you planning to buy any of the new Emily and Fin spring items? I hope you do and I hope you share how you style your pieces!
