The Phoenix (Voodoo Vixen)

Do you have re-occurring dreams? Or re-occurring dream themes?

I definitely do! I used to think it was anxiety caused but mine occurs randomly in recent years so it's hard to tell for sure.

While it changes every time in the story line and details, I have a re-occurring dream theme that pops up every so often. I am in a school and am struggling to either remember my schedule and what class I am to report to next (is it science? Is it history?) or I am looking for my locker and cannot recall where it is exactly or what the combination is when I approach it.

It's amazing how the mind works! How can I have the same dream repeatedly this way? How does it do that? I haven't stepped foot in any school or college in ten years - what's the deal?

But our subconscious works so interestingly and mysteriously. It fascinates me! Do I wake up annoyed as heck because when I dream these dreams I am filled with stress and anxiety as I rush up staircases and wander down hallways? Yes, totally. But it also blows me away with our vast our minds can get.

Another thing that baffles me to no end? Why is it I can remember every word from a song I haven't heard since 1997 but have the hardest time remembering an action taken at work three days ago? WHAT IS UP, BRAIN??

None of this relates to this stunner of a dress but do my ramblings ever? I'd love to hear in the comments what re-occurring dreams you have, my peanuts. LAY 'EM ON ME!

This Voodoo Vixen dress has a TALE! Since leaving my previous job in September, I obviously went on a strict spending ban given the lack of paychecks as well as having a wedding and honeymoon in November.

All Fall, I saw gals rocking this beauty of a dress, my heart aching knowing I'd probably miss my chance at having it. Well, fast forward to November. New job offer in hand (yay for employment!) and wedding plans complete, I decided to see if any stockist had this dress in my size left and treat myself.

I found it at Top Vintage and immediately ordered as they offered free shipping worldwide. For the first time ever, though, the dress got caught up in customs. I've ordered from the UK MANY times from companies like LindyBop and Collectif and always got my orders within a week or so.

This stunner took a MONTH to get to me, arriving a week or two before Christmas. Is it later than expected? Yes. Does it matter? Nope! Still love it. Still rocking it.
