Berry Nice! Lady V London Damson Berry Floral Dress

Oh my goody gumdrops, tonight I leave for Amsterdam to execute my company's presence at the IBC conference! I'm gone until the 18th so don't expect to hear much from me on here - I just have 1 or 2 posts to share in the next week or so. It's so weird to think I'm out of the country until the 18th. It's nearly two weeks!

Poor Cody...

Nah, he'll be fine. I'll miss him bunches, though. We both have a hard time being apart. It's funny because it seems like the longer we've been together, the harder it is when I am away (or the rare occasion he is away!). You'd think we'd be used to it by now...nope, not even close. We've just accepted that we're better together. It's no fun to be away from loved ones.

Missing Cody to bits aside, I am super excited for this trip. I've been to Amsterdam before (my first time was this time last year for the same show) but this time, I am staying longer and spending a few days in Germany with Anna! We met for the first time during my trip last year. This  year, I am braving the railway and taking a train down to Bonn for a few days.

WE ARE SO EXCITED!

I am also a bit terrified to navigate the trains on my own but I know it'll be fine. Anna will meet me upon arrival in Cologne and we hope to spend the days having adventures in her hometown but even if we end up just drinking, eating, and snort-laughing on her patio for 4 days and I am OK with that!

Have you been to Europe? Ever take the train to and fro? What were your experiences?

I think I will pack this dress and wear it on my journey. I snagged it for only $25 when Lady V London had their big summer sale a couple weeks ago and it's so light and so comfy, it really would make the perfect travel dress!

The best thing about this dress is the top - the details on the neck and the little sleeves! Ah! Perfection! I love that the sleeves are roomy and aren't restrictive on my arms. I can put my hands in the air and wave them around like I just don't care with ease...

There are some really fun ways to style this bad boy, too. I'm digging the gold details I have going on in this post but I've worn it again already with yellow shoes, a yellow belt, and a yellow hair flower and it was adorably delightful that way, too. If I had green shoes, I'd probably style it with green accents too! Man, I love a versatile dress!

It's also some of the only magenta in my closet. I have maybe 1 or 2 bright bold pink dresses in my closet so it's nice to find a new one to add. Magenta is such a fun color and I think it fits all seasons pretty well. It's as bold as it is dark. Not that I am strict on season appropriate attire by any means!

Well, I better go! My car will be pulling up to take me to the airport soon! Now, if only I could zip my suitcase shut...
