Artsy Fartsy in Hell (Bunny)

Lord help me - there's a lot of change going on over here!

Firstly, I have a new company. Dell acquired my company, creating a new mega tech company called Dell Technologies. EMC is now a division of Dell and our new name is Dell EMC. It all happened officially when I was traveling - that was interesting!

Secondly, I have a new computer! So long, iMac, you have been replaced by a PC. Yep, I am going back to PC. I have always used a Mac to edit photos starting in college but have been so tired of the ways Apple limits and tricks you into only using Apple products - making your life extremely difficult (for example, my track pad died so I grabbed a relaible wireless mouse. It worked fine - for a little. Now it just skips across the screen, making it hard to use.

It makes me wonder if Apple can detect a mouse that isn't theirs and actually causes it to malfunction so you cannot use it. Call me crazy, but if the iPhone can detect a non-apple charger, what can the iMac do??). Since it is 6 years old anyway and I've been losing my sanity ever so quickly with it, I decided to get rid of it and replace it.

Thirdly, I started using Lightroom to edit my photos! In fact, I edited the photos for this blog post in Lightroom and put this post together on my new laptop (which is by Dell, by the way, and came in a beautiful cherry red!)! I keep my editing pretty simple (exposure, color correction, etc.) but I felt like using Lightroom already has let me be more creative than the other way too basic program I was using. I think I am getting the hang of it but it takes practice, for sure! I can't wait to see how my photos improve using this!

The point of the above? I am getting used to a lot these days. As many of you know, I dislike change. I hate the feeling of new and would prefer the comfort of my routines. I hate getting to know new programs, set up new technology - not to mention being a part of a new company! Crazy! We don't know quite yet how much will change now that we're a part of Dell but it will be an interesting fall/winter for sure!

All that aside, I scored this beautiful black dress by Hell Bunny on my trusted BST group on Facebook. I couldn't deny the precious embroidered irises when I saw them and I have been itching for a new LBD for my wardrobe. With the adjustable straps, the button details in front, and the flattering cut, how could I go wrong?

If you're curious about the backdrops, these are two murals done for Pow! Wow! Worcester, a international mural festival that took place all over Worcester, MA in late August. Artists from all over the world came to town and made Worcester beautiful. There are murals all over the city.

I think it's great how they're trying to improve Worcester and make it a destination again. They've been cleaning it up and adding great restaurants and bars in the past years. Pow! Wow! Worcester is another effort in that mission and it was really cool to hunt down two of them for these photos with Cody the Sunday afternoon before I left on my trip to Europe.

Does your town have cool events like Pow! Wow! Worcester? Does it try to put on special events or make efforts to be hip?

Beep beep - here I come, bitches!
