Do you believe in love at first scroll?
It took me .2 seconds to decide I needed this skirt from ModCloth in my life. When I spotted it, we were on our way to Six Flags for my dad's annual family picnic at work. Since the park is over an hour away, I was killing time on my phone browsing the new arrivals on ModCloth. What else was I supposed to do?
The moment I saw it, I actually gasped.
I wanted it.
I needed it.
I had shitty service.
Dammit.
Then the boys started going on roller coasters and I quickly became the keeper of the bags and drinks while they waited in line. It was as I was sitting in the shade, looking at Instagram, while they rode Bizarro for the billionth time that I froze in my tracks.
What was I doing on Instagram?? I should be on ModCloth, buying my skirt!
I never swapped apps so quick in my life. Once in, I found the skirt, selected my size, hit the purchase button, confirmed my purchase, and then stared at the little spinning loading circle...for 5 whole minutes.
Shoot.
No, it didn't kill my fun at the park but it was definitely in the back of my head.
What if the purchase didn't go through? What if my size sold out? That wasn't too crazy of a concept - things sold out really quick on ModCloth sometimes.
I love the leaves print but also kind of dig that instead of the typical fall colors of orange or green or yellow, the print is blue and gray and black. The fabric is also pretty heavy so it can definitely be worn into the winter. In a way, it reminds me of those chilly early mornings when you leave the house and all the fallen leaves have crispy icy edges.
Frosty Fall leaves, anyone?
